You've read about it in every major outdoor magazine. The fishing starts in late October and runs all the way until May. We fish all winter; the Niagara River is one of North Americas best Steelhead River. Starting in late October and only gets better as it gets colder. Steelhead range from 6 to 20 lbs., their numbers are good and there is a lot of catch and release practice on the river to help keep this a great fishery. Lake Trout is the best fishing anywhere in the world form January until May. Fishing on the Niagara bar is hard to beat; 20 plus fish a day up to 25# is common. The state record was caught here at 39# plus, the mixing in of Brown Trout is a great bonus.
